Contract Farming:
A Model of Mutual
Growth
Dotel Dairy stands as a pioneer in contract farming in Nepal—an approach introduced over three decades ago by our founder, Yadu Krishna Dotel. As a farmer himself, he understood the everyday challenges farmers face—especially around financial security and timely payments.
To address these, he implemented a sustainable model:
- Providing funds to farmers to purchase cow
- Guaranteeing a secure market for their milk
- Ensuring prompt and fair payments
This approach not only empowered farmers but also secured a reliable supply of fresh milk for Dotel Dairy. Today, this model continues to be a best practice, benefiting both local communities and our operations.
From Farm to Fork:
Quality at Every Step
Dotel Dairy operates multiple milk collection centers across different regions. These centers follow standardized protocols to ensure hygiene and freshness during collection. The milk is then transported to our central production facility, where it is processed into a wide range of premium-quality dairy products, sweets, and baked goods.
Over the years, we’ve fine-tuned our logistics system, enabling us to distribute our bakery, snack, and dairy products efficiently to over 200 retail outlets across the Kathmandu Valley.
